Supertasting - The Bordeaux 1855 Classification - 18 September

This is a very special and unique tasting for Bordeaux wine lovers designed to help them become master of the 1855 Classification...

Participants will be led through a tasting of six wines (one from each Classified Growth (Cru) plus a second wine from a famous Château) to identify the elements that contribute to each wine’s uniqueness and to understand variations in style, terroir and vintages.

Fantastic wines will be tasted:

2004 Château Mouton-Rothschild, 1er Cru, Pauillac
2002 Château Rauzan Ségla, 2ème Cru, Margaux
2003 Château Calon-Segur, 3ème Cru, St. Estèphe
2005 Château Talbot, 4ème Cru, St. Julien
2002 Château Pontet-Canet, 5ème Cru, Pauillac
2002 Ségla (2nd wine of Château Rauzan Ségla)

This tasting is suited to those who have some basic wine knowledge and tasting skills. All participants will receive a certificate of recognition upon completion.

Tasting to be led by Mr. Jean-Charles Viens, who is an Accredited Tutor of the Bordeaux Wine School and has recently completed his WSET Level 4 Diploma, seen as the essential stepping stone to becoming a Master of Wine.
