Taste Like a Pro...Pinot Noir - Our Next Wine Workshop 16 June

pinot_noir.jpg

Please come and join us for our next wine workshop designed to explore the regional particularities of Pinot Noir as a "Noble" grape varieties.

Expanding on our highly popular workshop "How To Taste Like A Pro", this class will also help us learn the specific "markers" that enable a wine pro to identify the variety in a blind tasting.

Using a systematic approach to tasting, we will also be able to pinpoint origin, evaluate quality, and recognize the wine making techniques used to craft each wine.

This class is designed for wine lovers with advanced levels of tasting knowledge in particular those who have participated to our previous "How To Taste" workshops as well as WSET students Level 3 and Level 4.

Our classes are limited to 12 people for optimum quality interaction between participants. We aim to increase the understanding and appreciation of wine, not solely to pass an exam.

In our session on 16 June, we will taste:

2006 Volnay, Mitans 1er Cru, Domaine de Montille, Burgundy, France
2008 Bourgogne Rouge, Domaine Jean Grivot, Burgundy, France
2007 Au Bon Climat Pinot Noir, Santa Maria Valley, California, USA
2007 De Bortoli Pinot Noir, Yarra Valley, Australia
2007 Argyle, Nuthouse Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA
