Obra Prima Colleccion Malbec 2011 from Familia Cassone

Of course I am an interested party because Franco will import this wine in Italy... But tonight, we had it with an Argentinean "asado" of "lomo" (tenderloin steak grilled on the bbq) and it was perfect!

The Obra Prima Colleccion Malbec 2011 from Familia Cassone was absolutely lip-smacking! Restrained & inviting all at once, it displayed beautiful baked red & black fruits & dried violets with notes of leather and a touch of iodine and meat juices... The texture absolutely succulent, at once velvety, juicy, and supple... Leathery in a juicy kind of way... Engaging and long... Withstanding our almost raw meat, supporting it in a delightful way, preparing our palate for another bite of the fleshy meat while itself called for another sip...

A beautiful harmony, fueling our conversation about tango, Argentina, and the many pleasures of life...

A perfect dinner under the stars of Buenos Aires....
