Highlight: Oddero Barolo DOCG Vigna Rionda 2000

It is no secret that I love to teach about wine in part because I love to talk about it... However, it happens quite often that a wine makes me completely speechless... This was one such moment...

Lovely, lovely aromatics w/ wonderful notes of dried red fruits & roses intermingling so delicately w/ leather & tobacco & a gentle perfume of the forest on a autumn day. Wonderfully silky texture w/ a fresh finish & long, long after taste... My bet is that it can keep for another 5 years easy & develop even more lovely pheasant & truffle complexity...
