An Alsatian Culinary (& Cultural) Experience @ Winstub Le Clou
Judging from the type of food served in a 'winstub", or wine cellar, here in Strasbourg, I can only guess that winters are harsh because the food can certainly keep you warm!
Recommended by the concierge at my hotel which themselves have a wonderful brasserie (Les Haras), I was not disappointed for a typical Alsatian experience...
Extensive list of wines by the glass, if not the highest quality I have tasted, but ticked the boxes... Excellent service, & super tasty dishes. The "L'Os à La Moelle" was definitely an experience, especially that, what you see is only 1/2 of what was served!
The winstub is located in the "golden square" of Strasbourg which is a lovely area to have a stroll after such a heavy meal - full of interesting shop for window browsing, most displaying items made in the area from merchants that have been in the area for several generations...
When in Strasbourg, do as the Strasbourgeois do...
