there is no denying from my part that i love pierre gagnaire's food (let's be clear that i do not know him personally, however i would love to have him over for dinner at my home for dinner - a leg of lamb of something simple like this of course...) so, perhaps it makes me biased, or perhaps not....

An Alsatian Culinary (& Cultural) Experience @ Winstub Le Clou

Judging from the type of food served in a 'winstub", or wine cellar, here in Strasbourg, I can only guess that winters are harsh because the food can certainly keep you warm!

Here is a place w/ great personality & absolutely creative & lip-smacking dishes. A terrific atmosphere & fantastic & well researched wine list... Definitely worth having to book at least 10 days ahead! When you go, make sure to ask for an Australian Wine pairing if you order the Chef's menu...
